If the only computer you have is the Vista machine, I suggest giving Maxis a ring and see what they can do for you. If you have an XP system anywhere, try installing it on that to see if it works.
THE SIMS 1 COMPLETE COLLECTION DISK SPACE ERROR INSTALL
If you have cleaned up your computer and it still does not work then I am at loss myself and that is rare for me not to eventually get something that is a computer miss to finally get up and running.I once tried to install mine on a Vista system, and it said the correct disc was not in the drive when it was. Other then what I am suggesting here I really do not know what the problem is. If you get to watch the video and it does not falter or stutter and plays through then I would say your dvd drive is fine. This is one way to test and see if it is really working.

If it does not work for a movie dvd then I would think it is on its way out. However with it not really going through with the installation I am wondering if it is failing, or starting to go.ĭo you have any music or video dvds that you can try and see if they play. The other thing is I was wondering about your dvd drive it seems like it is ok because it is reading the game and you can see the drive. What I am curious about is if you actually have enough space on your hard drive even though the sims 1 is not really a big program. follow the directions for can you run it then find the sims 1 and click on that and see what it comes up with. Just for ha ha's go here do the test and see if it gives you minimal specs or if it gives you recommendation to play the game better. You should have plenty of ram for the sims 1. I know sims 1 does not take a lot of space but just curious. How much have you already used up on that hard drive.

Just curious? like is it a 500 gig hard drive. How many gigs is your hard drive total like when you first got your computer. Well if it installed on your mothers computer then I would think it should install on yours. How much free space do you have left on your hard drive for installing this game that could also be a question?
THE SIMS 1 COMPLETE COLLECTION DISK SPACE ERROR WINDOWS 7
I am not sure if it ever will install and really you should not be having these problems as the game should really install with no sweat on windows 7 operating systems. Keep every Thing closed off while trying to install your sims 1 game that includes the internet and this website.

Get rid of old internet cookies then do a virus scan of your computer.Ĥ.
THE SIMS 1 COMPLETE COLLECTION DISK SPACE ERROR SOFTWARE
check to see if uninvited software came along with that free download, and get rid of it.ģ. Other then your computer is running a bit slow as shown in your video.ġ. This might be the reason as to why you can not install your own disk. When I think about your problem I am lead to think about that free game install. Check the date of installation and if it is on the same date as you installed your free game then it might have also come all long with it. Take a check in your add and remove programs and see if there is anything that is not familiar to you and you know it is something you did not install or planned on installing. Sometimes when we download freebies from the web we never know what we might get besides what we are downloading. You also might have lots of old cookies from websites that you visit and you should clean them out as well. For instance you should do a disk clean up and do a defragmentation of your computer. One thing that I would suggest that you do is do some system maintenance on your computer. The reason why nothing is happening could be the fact that you have other things open at the time of trying to install the game. The pop up you are getting is normal and I see you click yes to it. That could also make the install process slow or not install. I also noticed that when you tried to install your sims 1 game that you had other windows opened.

I understand that you uninstalled the free download. Maybe you are having problems due to the sims 1 free download you did before trying to use your own disk. I look at the thread you where in and showed your video.
